Living on the edge!

On October 2nd, The Darkness turned 013 Tilburg into a time machine back to the golden age of rock. From the moment the lights dimmed and the first chords hit, it was clear we were in for something special. A night that blended over-the-top showmanship with flawless musicianship. Justin Hawkins owned the stage with his signature falsetto, witty banter and pure charisma. Whether shredding solos, doing high kicks in a glittering catsuit, or joking with the crowd in between songs, he had the audience completely hooked. The band sounded incredibly tight . Every riff, drum fill and vocal harmony hit with power and precision.

The setlist was a perfect mix of classics and newer tracks, but of course, “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” brought the house down. The crowd sang every word like it was an anthem and in that moment, it absolutely was. What makes The Darkness special is their ability to not just play rock ’n roll, but to celebrate it unashamedly, theatrically and with genuine joy.

Tilburg, you rocked. And so did they!
