GRASPOP METAL MEETING 2023: A heavy trip down memory lane!

June 15-18, 2023 | DESSEL, BELGIUM – Four days packed with 130+ metal acts. Beautiful weather and an amazing crowd of 225.000+ visitors. Graspop 2023 was again a great experience. Classic metal bands alternated with younger acts from various genres. It’s nice to see that those younger acts like Ghost, Parkway Drive, Cane Hill and I Prevail are presenting themselves to relieve the old guard.

But still it were the ‘classic’ bands like Pantera, Guns n’ Roses, Def Leppard, Papa Roach, Machine Head, Rancid, Cradle Of Filth, Behemoth and Kreator who took the crowd on a trip down memory lane. Singing along to timeless classics remains the favorite activity of many grass pop visitors. One fist in the air, a cold beer in the other hand. Speaking of food and drinks. Things are always exceptionally well organized at Graspop. No long lines, lots of choice and smooth service. An example for many other festivals!

In addition to music, food and drinks, there was plenty to do again this year. The Ferris wheel was running at full speed, the metal market was crowdy and for some lucky visitors there was also a sky deck with a beautiful view. In short, there was plenty to enjoy at #GMM23 for both older and younger visitors.
