The Dutch metal band For I Am King (FIAK) released its first new single in four years, titled ‘Liars’. FIAK’s previous (and most recent) musical achievement was the second album ‘I’ from 2018, the successor to debut album ‘Daemons’ from 2016. On ‘Liars’ you can hear the new drummer Ivo Maarhuis (ex-Izegrim), who played the previous drummer Jaap Relou replaces.
Guitarist Koen Scheepens: “The past few years have been strange years for all of us. The constant uncertainty as to whether shows could go on or not caused quite a change. However, that period also ensured that we were given the space to work hard on new music. working and taking plenty of time for it. This resulted in our best, hardest and most detailed work to date. With great sense and enthusiasm we can look forward to periods full of performances and new music.”
Frontwoman Alma Alizadeh: “The release of ‘Liars’ symbolizes the start of a new period for us. We are leaving the corona pandemic behind us, and starting a new fantastic chapter: we are back and going faster than ever!”
